Nexus College of Business, Health & Technology is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, inclusive, and academically honest learning environment. Students are expected to follow all College policies, program requirements, standards of conduct, and applicable laws.
A student may be subject to expulsion if they engage in serious misconduct, including but not limited to:
academic dishonesty, cheating, plagiarism, or falsification of documents;
harassment, discrimination, bullying, threats, or violence;
disruptive behaviour that interferes with teaching, learning, or College operations;
misuse of College systems, technology, records, or confidential information;
failure to meet academic or professional conduct requirements;
non-payment of required fees, where applicable and after appropriate notice;
conduct that places the safety, rights, or well-being of students, staff, instructors, or the College community at risk.
Before a decision to expel a student is made, Nexus College will review the matter fairly, provide the student with an opportunity to respond, and consider the relevant facts and circumstances. Where appropriate, the College may use progressive discipline or other corrective measures before expulsion.
If a student is expelled, Nexus College will provide written notice outlining the reason for the decision, the effective date, any academic or financial implications, and the student’s right to appeal according to the College’s appeal or complaint procedure.
Students will not be expelled for raising a complaint, requesting accommodation, or exercising their rights in good faith.
